MIND BREAK
When facilitating a workshop, it is important to keep the energy of the participants high. Dense workshops, full of exercises that require a lot of focus may drain the participants' energy quite quickly, which may affect the overall results of the workshop. Therefore, give minds breaks, especially in long workshops. Here is a list of some simple and efficient ways.
Physical and relaxing activities
LIGHT PHYSICAL EXERCISES
Whether it is squats, jumps, jumping jacks or lunges, blood circulation to the brain is increased with just a few repetitions. Don't be too harsh on your audience and be considerate in what works. If you're brainstorming in a nursing home, this might be too much for many. Think also about very delicate exercises such as raising hands, or putting them in a fist and opening a few times.

STRETCHING
Standing and stretching aaall the way up
and then bending towards the ground,
twisting your core to the right and left,
circling your shoulders and neck...

DEEP BREATHING
Breath in through the nose, hold for a sec,
and let out from the mouth. Combine with
stretching for relaxed shoulders and highly
increased energy levels.

GET OUT
If this is not possible, at least open the door for some fresh air.

SOUNDS
Listen to something else than people speaking. Music can boost creativity - for rest, there is nothing that beats nature. Let birds, waves and wales heal.
